Terms of Use

1. Who we are

Zclipper (zclipper.video) is published by AC Fellows SAS, registered in the Paris Trade and Companies Register (RCS) under number 811183292, intra-EU VAT number FR17811183292. Email: support@zclipper.video.

These Terms apply to your use of Zclipper. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

2. The service

Zclipper records a segment of a YouTube video while it plays in YouTube’s official embedded player, using your browser’s own screen capture, and saves the clip on your device. It does not download, decrypt, proxy or store YouTube’s files, does not block or skip ads, and refuses copy-protected videos. Clips are limited to 10 minutes. Recording works in desktop Chromium browsers such as Chrome and Edge.

• Manual clipping is free and needs no account.
• Magic Clips (Pro) is a paid subscription: an AI proposes clips from a video, and Zclipper records the ones you pick.

3. YouTube

This site uses YouTube API Services. By using it you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC; Zclipper is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by YouTube or Google. YouTube may change its player or services at any time, which can limit or stop Zclipper.

4. Your responsibilities

Only clip videos you own, have permission to record, or may lawfully excerpt where you live (for example a short quotation for commentary, criticism, teaching or news). You must not:

• republish other people’s content as your own or otherwise infringe their rights;
• use Zclipper to get around a rental, purchase, membership, age or region restriction, or any copy protection;
• use Zclipper by automated means, overload or attack it, or work around its limits (credits, rate limits, security checks);
• share or resell your account, or request sign-in links for email addresses that aren’t yours.

You are responsible for your clips and how you use them. A clip gives you no rights in the video. Zclipper hosts no videos: send complaints about a video to YouTube, and report misuse of Zclipper to support@zclipper.video.

5. Accounts

• You sign in with a single-use link sent to your email address; there is no password. Anyone who can read your email can sign in, so keep it secure.
• An account has one session at a time: signing in on a new device signs out the previous one.
• Accounts are for people aged 15 or over. To subscribe, you must also be legally able to enter into a contract, or have a parent’s or guardian’s permission.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, with notice unless the breach is serious. You can ask us to close your account at any time; this ends any subscription.

6. Pro subscription

• Price. $5 per month, taxes included, charged in US dollars through Stripe with the payment methods shown at checkout. The subscription renews automatically each month, on the day you subscribed, until you cancel.
• Subscribing. Sign in, choose Go Pro, check your order on Stripe’s checkout page (you can correct your details there) and confirm the payment. The contract is concluded once the payment is accepted, and Pro starts immediately.
• Credits. Each billing month includes 250 credits. An AI run uses one credit; a run that fails gives it back. Unused credits expire at the end of the month and have no cash value.
• Cancelling. Cancel at any time from Account. Pro and your remaining credits last until the end of the month you’ve paid for; the subscription then stops. Partial months aren’t refunded, except under sections 7 and 9.
• Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, Pro is paused until it’s paid, and we email you a link to pay. If Stripe’s last automatic retry also fails, the subscription ends.
• Price changes. We’ll email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you. It takes effect at your next renewal after that; you can cancel before then.

7. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer, you can withdraw from your Pro subscription within 14 days of subscribing, without giving a reason, by emailing support@zclipper.video (you may use the form below). We confirm your withdrawal by email without delay, and Pro ends when you withdraw.

We refund you within 14 days of your withdrawal, using your original payment method. Because Pro starts immediately at your request, we deduct 1/250 of the monthly price for each credit used before you withdrew; if you used none, you get a full refund.

8. AI suggestions

The titles, descriptions and times Magic Clips proposes are generated automatically by an AI model from the public video. They can be wrong, incomplete or inappropriate: check them before relying on or publishing them. We claim no rights in them.

9. Availability, changes and legal guarantee

We work to keep Zclipper running but can’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free: it depends on YouTube, your browser and other providers.

We may change or remove features for valid reasons, such as security, legal requirements, or changes made by YouTube or our providers, at no extra cost to you. If a change significantly reduces Pro, we’ll email you in advance (at least 30 days before when the change is our choice), and you can end your subscription free of charge within 30 days of our email or of the change, whichever is later, with a refund of the unused part of your current month. If we discontinue Pro, we’ll refund the unused part of your current month.

If you are a consumer, you have the legal guarantee of conformity for digital services (French Consumer Code, art. L. 224-25-12 et seq.) for as long as Pro is supplied: if Pro doesn’t conform, we’ll bring it into conformity free of charge within a reasonable time; if we can’t, you can obtain a price reduction or end the contract with a refund.

10. Liability

We are liable only for direct, foreseeable damage caused by our failure to meet these Terms. We are not liable for damage caused by your use of Zclipper or of your clips, by YouTube’s decisions or services, by services you choose to use with your clips, by your equipment or connection, or by events beyond our control. If you are a consumer, we remain responsible to you for the providers we use to run Pro, such as our host and payment processor. If you use Zclipper for business purposes, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, or your rights as a consumer.

11. Intellectual property

Zclipper’s site, code, design and brand belong to AC Fellows SAS or its licensors. You may use Zclipper as intended, but not copy, resell or reproduce it. Videos belong to their owners.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We’ll publish the new version here with its date and, for significant changes, email account holders at least 30 days before they apply. If you don’t accept them, you can cancel before they take effect.

13. Language, law and disputes

We publish these Terms in several languages. If you are a consumer and the versions differ, the meaning most favourable to you applies.

These Terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer living outside France, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live.

If you are a consumer, you can bring proceedings in the French courts or in the courts where you live, and we can only bring proceedings against you in the courts where you live. Other disputes will be settled by the courts of Paris.
